Refund & Returns Policy

BuildEze Returns & Refunds Policy

Australian Consumer Law


Many products sold by BuildEze come with guarantees or warranties provided by the manufacturer. In addition, all products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
Under Australian Consumer Law, you are entitled to:

• A replacement or refund for a major failure
• Compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage
• A repair or replacement if goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure is not major

Where a failure is major, you may choose between a refund or replacement.

Change of Mind Returns


BuildEze is not required to provide a refund or replacement for change-of-mind returns. However, we may accept them at our discretion.
Eligibility

• Requests must be made within 20 days of delivery
• Items must be:
o Unused
o In original packaging
o In resalable condition
• Proof of purchase is required

Conditions


• Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer
• A restocking fee of up to 25% may apply depending on product type
• Refunds will be issued using the original payment method
Commercial or bulk quantities may not be eligible for change-of-mind returns.

Major Faults & Consumer Guarantees


You are entitled to a refund, replacement, or compensation if a product has a major problem, including where the product:
• Has a fault that would have stopped someone from buying it had they known
• Is unsafe
• Is significantly different from its description or sample
• Does not perform as promised and cannot be easily fixed

If you choose to keep the product, BuildEze may offer compensation for any reduction in value.

Minor Faults


If the issue does not amount to a major failure:
• BuildEze will arrange a repair within a reasonable time
• If the product cannot be repaired, or is not repaired in a reasonable time, you may choose a refund or replacement

Damaged, Missing, or Incorrect Items


Reporting Timeframes
• Transit damage: Must be reported within 5 business days of delivery
• Missing or incorrect parts: Must be reported within 30 days of delivery

Customers are encouraged to inspect products upon receipt and before installation.
BuildEze may request supporting documentation such as photos, item labels, or order references for quality assurance.

Replacement Parts


Where replacement parts are available:
• Requests may be accepted up to 12 months from delivery
• Replacement timeframes may vary depending on manufacturing and freight availability

Cancellations


• Orders cancelled before dispatch may be eligible for a full refund
• Orders cancelled after dispatch may incur:
o A restocking fee of up to 25%
o Return freight costs based on location and carrier charges

Redelivery & Address Changes


If a delivery address change or redirection is requested after dispatch:
• Additional courier fees may apply

Non-Returnable Items


Change-of-mind returns are not accepted for:
• Custom-made or made-to-order products
• Items cut to size
• Tinted or mixed products
• Perishable goods
• Hygiene-sensitive items once opened
• Items marked “non-returnable” at purchase

Refund Processing


Once a return is approved and received:
• Refunds are processed within 10–15 business days
• Refunds are issued to the original payment method
• Proof of identity may be required if proof of purchase is unavailable

Order Processing


Orders placed through BuildEze are typically processed within 2–5 business days after payment confirmation.
In some cases, products may be sourced from multiple fulfilment locations to meet delivery timeframes. As a result, orders containing multiple items may arrive in separate deliveries.

Estimated Delivery Timeframes


In most cases, online orders are delivered within:
• 7–10 business days to metro and regional areas
Some products, including special order, oversized, or non-stock items, may require additional time:
• 10–20 business days from dispatch

Delivery timeframes are estimates only and may vary based on product availability, delivery address, and courier conditions.

Delivery Locations


• BuildEze delivers to metro and regional areas within Australia
• Delivery availability may depend on defined service areas
• Additional delivery charges may apply for locations outside standard service zones

BuildEze does not deliver to:


• PO Boxes
• Parcel Lockers
• International addresses


Delivery Charges


Delivery fees are calculated at checkout and may vary depending on:
• Delivery address
• Order weight and size
• Delivery method selected
Additional charges may apply for deliveries outside standard service areas.

Delivery Assistance Requirements


Some products may require additional assistance at the delivery address due to size or weight.
• Delivery fees assume the customer can provide reasonable assistance at the delivery location
• If assistance cannot be provided, BuildEze may arrange additional help at an extra cost
• Customers will be contacted prior to delivery if assistance is required


Delivery Confirmation & Authority to Leave


• A signature may be required upon delivery
• If a signature is refused, delivery may not be completed

Authority to Leave:


• Authority to Leave is not generally offered by default
• If Authority to Leave is approved, responsibility for the goods transfers to the customer once delivered
• Non-delivery claims will not be accepted where Authority to Leave has been provided


Order Tracking & Confirmation


Once your order is confirmed:
• You will receive an order confirmation email
• Dispatch and tracking details will be provided where available

Some customers may experience delays in receiving confirmation emails. If you do not receive confirmation on the same day as purchase, please contact support@buildeze.com.au.


Click & Collect (Where Available)


Where Click & Collect is offered:
• Orders are typically ready within 1 business day
• In some cases, stock may need to be transferred from another location, which may extend readiness time
• Customers will be notified when the order is ready for collection

Collection Conditions


• Goods must be collected within 14 days of being ready
• Valid photo ID may be required at collection
• The name on the ID must match the purchaser’s name
• Third-party collections are not permitted

If goods are not collected within a reasonable timeframe and after reasonable contact attempts, the order may be cancelled and refunded.


Delays & Exceptions

BuildEze is not responsible for delivery delays caused by:


• Courier disruptions
• Weather events
• Supplier stock delays
• Circumstances outside our reasonable control

Where delays occur, BuildEze will communicate updated delivery estimates as soon as possible.
